PayPerPost > (TechCrunch * 1000)
April 5th, 2007
Michael Arrington, the blogger from TechCrunch, is one of the more vocal opponents to PayPerPost. But a funny thing happened a month or two back. As I was reading one of his posts ranting against this startup, I noticed that he had just added, get this, MORE advertising to his blog!
That’s right, he’s arguing that PayPerPost is the worst thing to hit the blogosphere since the 2004 outbreak of syphilis, and at the same time, he is adding more advertisements!
I count 10+ different advertisements on TechCrunch, and with his readership, he is one of the highest paid bloggers around. Now how can this multi-millionaire care so much if a Z-list blogger gets paid $10 for a post? I mean, the most a blogger can make in a year from PayPerPost is around $12,000. And that is an estimate given for the best PayPerPost publishers.
And then, on Mike’s post on December 3rd titled “PayPerPost Chronicles Their Amorality”, a brilliant man whose identity is not known posted a video on YouTube. It’s unfortunate that YouTube has removed the video for violating their terms of service, but it was obviously from a very smart person.
He is rumored to be a direct descendant of Jesus, Albert Einstein and Sanjay Malakar from American Idol. He probably holds a MA in quantum physics from MIT and a MBA from Wharton. He appeared naked in bed and told the truth about Michael Arrington and PayPerPost.
Unfortunately he was arrested on racketeering charges two days later and his real identity was revealed. His real name is Vinny Meathead, and he is just an average ginny from
Disclaimer: I was paid to write this post by PayPerPost. Siiiiikkeeee. No this is for a contest on TechCrunch. Mike wants people to bash him and his posts, and the winners get tickets to web2.0 expo out in San Fransisco. I don’t expect to win, but I was pretty bored so I decided I would write something small. And the only thing that really stood out was indeed that guy, naked, in bed, bashing Mike. He was really a meathead. And I don’t like PayPerPost
